Trumpety Trump came to fruition after spending a wonderful holiday in Cornwall. After wandering around the cobbled streets of a quaint little village on a fine, sunny afternoon, we came across a gorgeous little shop full of beautiful wooden toys. Our daughter was mesmerized by the swirling mobiles hanging from the ceiling, the children excitedly clacking the castanets and the ‘choo-choo’ noises coming from the toddlers as they played with the toy trains. From that moment, the concept of Trumpety Trump was born.
Amanda Ranford
Over the years Amanda has gained a varied portfolio of work experience. She graduated in music in 1997 and then found herself working in the city for a number of years before finally deciding to give up the rat race when her daughter was born. Life has never been the same since!
Amanda's ambition was to create a unique Store for children to provide educational and innovative toys and games for the development of every child and their varying needs. Therefore the toys are designed in such a way to ensure age-appropriate challenges to empower children, encourage social interaction, promote natural learning and creative play. The toys also follow her environmentally friendly ethos and are made from natural materials and use non-toxic, water based dyes.
Tristan Ranford
Being Cornish (and very laid back!), Tristan gained a degree in economics and law and then went on to study various postgraduate courses. Having spent many years being studious and secretly wanting to be a fun loving student forever, he began a career in computing. He then drastically changed direction and decided to renovate our lovely but decrepit Victorian townhouse to sell which led to us moving and enjoying a slower pace of life in the country.
